Dražen Bobinac (1953–2010) – politician, born in Otočac. He became known to the wider public for his political career. At the dawn of democratic changes he became involved in the Croatian Democratic Union, he was one of the founders of the first CDU committee for the area of ​​Gacka, Lika and Krbava in January 1990. In the first democratic elections, he was elected as a representative in the Council of Municipalities Parliament. According to the national team system, he was a Croatian representative in the Council of Republics and Provinces of the then SFRY. In subsequent elections, he was a member of parliament for three more terms. He was actively involved in the defense of the homeland in Gacka, he was given the rank of brigadier. In 1993, he was elected the first mayor of the Otočac, a position he held for three terms. The figure was made by sculptor Šime Vidulin from Pula and academic sculptor Ivan Briski from Zagreb.
