The road is difficult, but what awaits you at the end of the road is admirable. In addition to all this, we also offer trips along the river itself, so you can rent a kayak or canoe and enjoy the ride. And if you want to look at the hidden treasures of Gacka in an adventurous way we offer exciting quad riding. And of course if you like to play tennis, we got you covered with a tennis court by the Gacka River right here in the town centre

GODAČA HIKING TRAIL

Access: It is possible to arrive in the settlement of Sinac in Gacka Valley from the direction of Otočac in the west (around 20 km), from the direction of the Plitvice Lakes through Vrhovina in the east, around 50 km, from the direction of Senj through Vratnik and Otočac in the west, around 60 km, from the direction of Gospić in the south, around 40 km.Access: It is possible to arrive in the settlement of Sinac in Gacka Valley from the direction of Otočac in the west (around 20 km), from the direction of the Plitvice Lakes through Vrhovina in the east, around 50 km, from the direction of Senj through Vratnik and Otočac in the west, around 60 km, from the direction of Gospić in the south, around 40 km.

Route description: The Hunting Lodge owned by the Hunting Association “Ravna gora” from Sinac is located in close proximity of Majerovo vrilo spring, one kilometre away from it. The Godača Trail starts at the Cross of the Saviour in close proximity of the Hunting Lodge, 500 metres away from it, from where a well-tended forest trail, wide enough for people to walk, continues onwards.

The starting point is 460 meters above sea level and the trail climbs to the longest railway tunnel on the Zagreb-Split railroad and further on until Veljun peak (1013 m) and the region called Veliki and Mali kotal. A hunting cabin is located in the nearby Udol and Mala draga - owned by Croatian Forests, Regional Office Otočac and Hunting Association Ravna gora. The trail which leads through the forest is 8 km long. It is of medium difficulty, and takes approximately three hours to cross. There are several viewing points which hold a magnificent view of the Gacka Valley and the Northen Velebit. The KT mark can be found at the very top of Veljun, cemented into the rock.

PANOS HIKING TRAIL

KT 10 PANOS (828 m)

Access: The settlement of Kuterevo, 2 km away from the Otočac - Krasno road
Route description: The start of the route towards the Panos peak begins by the location of the church at the centre of the Kuterevo village. The Panos peak can be reached after an easy, 2 km long ascent which is on the road for the most part, tho a smaller part of the hike goes through the forest. Beautiful views extend from the peak towards Kečina greda and the part of Velebit towards Senjsko Bilo. The tour takes approximately 1 hour.
The KT mark can be found cemented into the rock next to the peak.
The trail is maintained by the Hiking Association “Panos” from Kuterevo.

MARKOVIĆ RUDINE HIKING TRAIL

KT 11 MARKOVIĆ RUDINE (1,105 m)

Access: From the direction of Gospić (35 km) or from Zagreb to the railway station Ličko Lešće (140 km)
Route description: The start is 200 metres away from the railway station Ličko Lešće, from the direction of Zagreb, on the right side next to the forest trail. The 8 km long forest trail passes underneath the highway and continues on until the turnaround called Šumske bukvice is reached. The kota Mramor (760 m) which has benches and a table prepared for the hikers to rest can be comfortably reached by a marked path. Not far from it, there is also Kamenica with 1.5 cubic metres of cold water. The trail continues on by overcoming 350 m of difference in elevation, quite steeply to the peak itself. The hike starting from the turnaround takes 1.5 hours to reach the peak.
The second option of the ascent is from Čović where you can leave your car at the parking spot by the Tončin bridge (most), then proceed by foot across the bridge and continue walking on 50 meters to the right until you reach the information signboard which portrays the map of the terrain together with the hiking trail itself. The hiking should be continued on across from the trail coming from the direction of the house of the Veterans’ Association for Leisure and Recreation “Glavičica”. Starting from 450 metres, the trail climbs to the pass at katunske drage at 700 m which then continues on through the beautiful pine and fir forest on the northern slope Plasine. Continuing onwards, you will pass by the Veliki Gašparac belvedere (8674 m), Votićev vršak belvedere (751 m) and more interesting sites all on the way to the previously described turnaround at Guste bukvice. The trail continues on exactly as described in the first option. Beautiful sights of the Gacka and Kosinjska Valley, Velebit, Ličko Sredogorje, Lička Plješivica and Velika and Mala Kapela can be seen from the Marković rudine peak. It takes around 4,5 hours to completely hike through the whole trail. 
The KT mark can be found at the very top, cemented into the rock.
The trail is maintained by HPD Gromovača from Otočac.
